Background:

At heart, I’m a passionate musician who loves teaching the very subjects I’ve enjoyed learning myself. I believe that anyone can learn to play an instrument—with patience, effort, and the right guidance. It may take work (for all of us!), but it's one of the most rewarding journeys you can take. I’ve been playing music since I was 14, starting with bass guitar and soon expanding into guitar and banjo—yes, I’m all about stringed instruments! I’m also a graduate of Cambridge University, where I studied English Literature and earned a master’s in the History and Philosophy of Science. For me, learning isn’t about boring drills—it’s about inspiration, enjoyment, and building confidence. I’ve seen that with my current students, and I’d love to help you discover that too.
