I love being able to share my passion for music and teaching by helping kids and adults with various backgrounds achieve their learning goals! My teaching style is all about fostering a growth mindset and tailoring lessons to your unique learning style. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, I'm here to help you achieve your musical goals. I create fun lesson plans that include music theory, exercises, and songs you love. You tell me which songs or musicians you love, and I will teach you everything you need to know through those songs! What sets me apart is my background with 9 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, musician, and online language and music instructor, ensuring a structured yet positive learning environment. With my years of experience I have honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, encouraging student curiosity, adapting to different settings and requirements, providing one-on-one and group setting instruction, and fostering a positive and empowering learning environment. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where I was on honor roll and graduated Magna cum laude, and I have a teaching license as well as multiple ESOL certifications. I started taking guitar lessons when I was 8 years old. I only stopped taking guitar lessons after graduating High School and have been playing and teaching independently since. When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my 16-month-old baby girl on our farm, surrounded by our dogs, cats, horses, and cows. I believe that my personal experiences as a mom and a farmer taught me the importance of nurturing growth and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to sharing my love for music, and teaching with my students and helping them reach their full potential.
