II’m a third-generation drummer and bandleader from New York, now based in Barcelona. I started playing drums at age 8, picked up guitar at 14, and have been performing professionally since my early teens. Over the last 21 years, I've played venues and festivals across England, Wales, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain, collaborating with some of the most respected musicians in these regions. I’m Bill Roseman — guitarist, vocalist, composer, and lifelong student of the blues. I first picked up the guitar when I was 13 in South Jersey, inspired by the electric fire of Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and classic blues masters. From those early days, I’ve never really put the instrument down. In the 1990s I made my way over to Europe and became involved with the Medford Slim Band, touring and playing festivals in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, and beyond. Over time I’ve explored many corners of blues, rock, zydeco, harmonica blues — whatever felt honest and heartfelt. My latest album Outskirts is a project I poured myself into — eleven originals and one cover — and it reflects where I’ve been musically and where I hope to go. Beyond performing and recording, I believe in the power of connection through music — sharing what I know, learning from others, and keeping the tradition alive in fresh, personal ways. I've been teaching for the last 25 years or so. All styles, all levels offered. Specializing in getting beginners started right. I've been playing drums for 30 years. Some private lessons but mostly self taught. I have a Percussion and Chamber Music degree from the Astor Piazzolla music conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina (where I also studied Piano and Flute). I started teaching 20 years ago. I love songs, so my classes are focused on them. My students usually choose an instrument as main but they also learn some basics from the others ones I teach.
